Explain the roles and responsibilities of the Legislative branch

The Legislative branch is like the rule-making team of the

government They create and pass laws that affect our everyday
lives They discuss and decide on things like how much money
we should pay in taxes what kind of programs and services the
government should provide and how we can keep our country
safe They also have the power to control the government's
spending They decide how much money should be given to
different parts of the government like schools hospitals and the
military This helps make sure that the government is using our
money wisely and for things that are important Another
important role of the Legislative branch is to keep an eye on the
government They make sure that the government agencies are
doing their jobs correctly and not abusing their power They can
ask questions investigate issues and hold hearings to make sure
everything is running smoothly and in the best interest of the
people So in summary the Legislative branch makes laws
decides how money is spent and keeps an eye on the
government to make sure everything is fair and working well
