5. Every month Puan Aini receives RM2 650 from tenants for her 3 houses. Puan Aini hires Encik Azlan to
manage the houses. Puan Aini pays to Encik Azlan as the information in table below.
Type of house Percentage of Encik Azlan’s wages from the house rental
Single-storey terrace house 10%
Double-storey terrace house 20%
Semi-detached house 30%
If the rental of a semi-detached house is twice the rental of a single-storey terrace house and the total wages
received by Encik Azlan is RM595, calculate the rental for each type of the houses.

6. Balqis, Hanim and Nurul bought some items for the preparation of Hari Raya. Balqis bought 3 packets of
‘dodol’, 2 packets of chicken floss and a box of candy for RM90. Hanim bought 4 packets of ‘dodol’, 3
packets of chicken floss and a box of candy for RM122. Nurul bought 6 packets of ‘dodol’, a packet of
chicken floss and 4 boxes of candy for RM148. Let x, y and z represent the price of a packet of ‘dodol’ , a
packet of chicken floss and a box of candy respectively.
(a) Construct a system of linear equations.
(b) Find the unit price of each type of item purchased.

7. Table below shows three types of food A, B and C which are made from three types of raw materials, p, q
and r which are mixed in the ratio as shown in the table.
Raw materials
Types of food
p q r
A 0.3 0.6 0.1
B 0.1 0.3 0.7
C 0.6 0.1 0.2
Given the supplies of A, B and C are 50kg, 40kg and 45kg respectively. Find the masses of p, q and r
produced, assuming that all raw materials are used.

9. The sum of digits of a three-digit number, xyz, is 11 where x, y and z each represents the digit in hundreds,
tens and ones for the number. The hundreds digit plus 2 times the tens digit is equal to the ones digit. If the
position of digits in hundreds and ones are switched, the new number is 46 more than 5 times of the original
