the Hellenic Republic, is a country in Southeast Europe. It is situated on the southern tip of the
Balkans, and is located at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, and Africa. Greece shares land borders
with Albania to the northwest, North Macedonia and Bulgaria to the north, and Turkey to the
northeast. The Aegean Sea lies to the east of the mainland, the Ionian Sea to the west, and the Sea
of Crete and the Mediterranean Sea to the south. Greece has the longest coastline on the
Mediterranean Basin, featuring thousands of islands. The country consists of nine traditional
geographic regions, and has a population of approximately 10.7 million. Athens is the nation's
capital and largest city, followed by Thessaloniki.
As the birthplace of democracy and the ancient Hellenic empires, Greece should be near the
top of countries with most interesting history. Seemingly every corner of Greece is home to
historical sites of utmost importance to Western civilization.

modern-day successes, Greece has been a leader in the development of culture, politics, and
economics. Over the centuries, Greece has been a major contributor to the development of the
world, with its contributions to philosophy, mathematics, and science. Today, Greece continues to
be a leader in the development of the European Union, with its strong economy and vibrant
culture. Greece is a country that has always been at the forefront of progress and development,
and its future looks bright.
In my point of view Greece is special country, with its culture and history. I love reading Greek
philosophers and it has been my dream to travel in Greece and see the places where this
mesmerizing paper works were done, where civilization and culture was thriving, I think Greece
will always be different and significant place for people like me, who love traveling in places where
Socrates, Plato and Aristotle where living and buildings where they made their works, which are
real treasure for humankind till today.
