4. A Ludo die has six faces and each has equal probability of appearance i.e. 1⁄(6.) Find the
probability of getting three 6s in 7 trials.
5. A tossing coin has two faces and each has equal probability of appearance i.e. 1⁄(2.) Find the
probability that first head is obtained in 3 trials.
6. Let X be normally distributed with mean =30 and variance =16, then find the following
probabilities: between 28 and 32, greater than 40, less than 25, at most 38.
7. Let X~N(40,64), find the single point which has 90% area below it.
8. If 𝑋~𝑁(24, 16), find lower and upper quartiles, P33 and D9.
9. Study hours of 10 students are: 35, 40, 17, 23, 50, 45, 30, 20, 18 & 22 test the hypothesis 𝜇 ≤ 20 𝑎𝑡 5% level of
significance.
10. A class of five students was given a test before coaching and after one month coaching their marks were as
follows. Test the hypothesis that coaching on the average has improved the performance of the students. Use
