BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE

• Work from Home scheme have been adopting during Covid-19

pandemic
• Most activities conducted in room (indoor) (80 – 90 % from all
activities)
• Indoor activities are at risk of expose to air pollution if there is a pollution
source and unhealthy air circulation
• Photocatalytic is an eco-friendly technique that emerged as a
promising alternative for the pollutant degradation
• Ceramic material (compared to aluminium and stainless steel) has
been investigated to have potential as an optimal photocatalytic
medium.

To explore ability of ceramic based photocatalytic

in non-organic air pollutant degradation

• degradation of each chemical parameter shows different pattern

• Ability of photocatalyst coated ceramic to chemical parameters seem less than physical
parameters
CONCLUSION

• Photocatalyst coated ceramic able to degrade air

pollutant both physical and chemical parameters
significantly. Percentage of degradation at physical
quality parameters larger than chemical quality;
• Percentage of reduction of PM1.0, PM2.5 and PM10 were
99 %, 99 % and 98 % respectively;
• Percentage of Reduction were CH2O by 72,0 %, VOC
by 92,0 % and CO by 58,4 % respectively.
