Basketball Communication And Transition

I. Objectives

At the end of the lesson the student should be able to:

 Understood the following drills in Basketball


 Learn and execute the basic skills in basketball
 Perform the basic skills in basketball and know the importance of being
sports inclined.

II. Subject matter


A. Topic: Basic Skills in Basketball
B. Reference: MAPEH Book 8 page 237
C. Materials: MAPEH Book 8, visual aids, marker, speaker & ball
D. Values: Cooperative learning & Discipline

III. Procedure / Methodology:

A. Daily Routine:
 Prayer
- The teacher will call a student to lead the prayer.

 Greetings
- Greet the students and ask to clean their places and get ready for the lesson
while he is preparing the presentation.

 Checking of Attendance
- The teacher will ask the class monitor whom the absent/s for today’s class.

 Review
- The teacher will ask the students about the past lesson

B. Presentation

Motivation

Activity 1: Basic skill dance

- The teacher encourages the student to dance.

Activity 2: Group activity

- The teacher will group the learners into 4


o Relay game
C. Generalization
- The teacher will ask the following questions
o Give the 9 drills in basketballs
o What is the importance of learning basketball drills?

D. Evaluation
- The teacher will ask the students to demonstrate the basketball drills
discussed by the teacher.

E. Assignment
- Advance reading “Introduction to Badminton”
- MAPEH Book 8, Page 239-241
