Corres) Vol-II dated 27.08.2018 ier Letter of Western Railway under reference (ji) has been received regarding use of spectacles of Mahatma Gandhi on the coaches during Swacchata Hi Sewa Pakhwada 2018. In this connection, it is clarified that the indicated spot for fixing of Swacchata logo is on the exterior side wall of coaches. This location is distinctly different from the toilet area / garbage bin area of the coach. The term toilet side / non-toilet side indicated in letter under reference (i) is used to identify the exact location on the exterior for Swacchata logo and National Flag, in order to ensure symmetrical fixing of logos on coaches. Interpretation of WR, stated in para 3 of Ref ii) is therefore incorrect. Provision of Swacchata logo on exterior wall of coach is not in violation of any directive of Railway Board.
