 CƠ SỞ LÝ THUYẾT
1. Indefinite articles( Mạo từ bất định) : A/ An
- Dù ng “an” trướ c nguyên â m ( u, e, o, a, i) hoặ c phụ â m “h” khô ng đọ c rõ
Ví dụ : an hour, an honest person….
- Dù ng “a” trướ c danh từ / tính từ bắ t đầ u bằ ng 1 phụ â m.
Vd : a book, a unit ……
A/ an thường dùng trong các trường hợp sau
+ Dù ng trướ c danh từ ( số ít đếm đượ c) chưa xá c định / mớ i đề cậ p lầ n đầ u.
+ vớ i danh từ chỉ nghề nghiệp . Ví dụ : a doctor , an engineer
+ cá c từ chỉ số , số lượ ng. Ví dụ : a hundred, a million, a pair of shoes , a few, a little,.....
Khô ng dù ng a/ an trướ c danh từ khô ng đếm đượ c: Ví dụ : sugar, milk , information, water, ....
2. Definite Article ( Mạo từ xác định) : The
Có "The" Không "The"
o Dù ng trướ c tên cá c đạ i dương, sô ng ngò i, biển, o Trướ c tên mộ t hồ
vịnh và cá c hồ (ở số nhiều) Lake Geneva
o The Red Sea, the Atlantic Ocean, the Persian Gufl,
the Great Lakes
o Trướ c tên cá c dã y nú i o Trướ c tên mộ t ngọ n nú i
The Rocky Mountains Mount Vesuvius
o Trướ c tên nhữ ng vậ t thể duy nhấ t trong vũ trụ o Trướ c tên cá c hà nh tinh hoặ c cá c chò m sao
hoặ c trên thế giớ i Venus, Mars
