 In the name of Allah the Beneficent, the Most-Merciful
And may Allah bless our master Muhammad and his family and grant them peace.
[O Allah] Bind my heart to the memorization of Your Book, and make the springs of its wisdom
burst in my heart, and let my soul and heart enjoy the sweetness of its recitation, and illuminate by
it my vision and hearing, and my intellect and my heart, and make easy, through it, my affair, and
make it my medicine and my healing. O Allah, join between my heart and it (the Quran), so that it
becomes my constant wont, and a source of protection and safety, and a guide and teacher, and a
soldier and saviour. And I ask You, every time I recite the letter "Alif" in it, for inspiration towards
goodness; and every time I recite the letter "Baa", for radiance and light; and every time I recite the
letter "Taa", for pure illuminating theophanies, along with reliance on You in all affairs; and every
time I recite the letter "Thaa", for praise of You in ways that You love, and that please You; and
every time I recite the letter "Jeem", for a majesty that makes aggressors and enviers tremble with
fear; and every time I recite the letter "Ḥaa", for the sweetness of piety, and its garment; and every
time I recite the letter "Khaa", for a felicitous seal [to life]; and every time I recite the letter "Daal",
that I invite to You for the sake of Your Noble Face; and every time I recite the letter “Dhaal", for
intelligence and sharpness in the sciences of the religion; and every time I recite the letter "Raa",
for elevation in the ranks of those drawn near to You; and every time I recite the letter "Zaa", for an
increase in goodness and blessings; and every time I recite the letter "Seen", for happiness in life
and after death; and every time I recite the letter "Sheen" For thankfulness to You in all my states;
and every time I recite the letter "Ṣaad", for patience, and truthfulness, and protection from all
afflictions; and every time I recite the letter "Ḍaad" for illumination of my heart and my sight and
my hearing and my body, in life and after death; and every time I recite the letter " Ṭaa", that I
regularly go around Your Ancient House; and every time I recite the letter "Ẓaa", for victory against
all enemies and dominance over them; and every time I recite the letter "'Ain", for knowledge that
benefits, and Divine care, and honour, and for assistance from You in all my states; and every time I
recite the letter "Ghain", for independence, through You, from all other than You, and for succour
from You, O Support of those who seek deliverance; And every time I recite the letter "Faa", for an
clear opening, and success, and joy in You, "And in that let them rejoice" (Quran, 10:58); and every
time I recite the letter "Qaf", for nearness to You in which I find the coolness of my eyes, and for
contentment and acceptance, and for the strength to obey You, and for the subduing of my
enemies, through Your subjugation, O Subduer; and every time I recite the letter "Kaaf", for
sufficiency, and for Your Guardianship over me, and for nobility, and perfection, and for the
disabling of my enemies through Your tremendous power; and every time I recite the letter "Laam",
for the pleasure of faith, and for gentle kindness from You in all breaths, and all times; and every
time I recite the letter "Meem", for beautiful belongings in the life of the world, and a beautiful
station in the garden, and for pious death and faithful end; and every time I recite the letter “Nun",
for light in my vision and my heart and my hearing and my body and my flesh, and my bones and
my hair, O Light of the heavens and the earth; and every time I recite the letter "Haa", for guidance
to You, through You, and make me a guide to You by Your guidance; and every time I recite the
letter "Waw" for scrupulousness, and gentleness, and friendship with You, through which I become
one of Your righteous servants; and every time I recite the letter "Yaa" for true certainty, and
constant ease, by the right of Ya Sin;
and may Allah bless our master Muhammad and his family and grant them peace.
