SUBJECT : Progress Report, alleged Homicide of

PO1 Federito Armateo Jr,.

1. REFERENCES
a. Initial report of homicide incident dated March 02, 2009

2. This pertains to the on-going investigation of the homicide case that happened in the
residence of Mr. Peter Gallaza , 32, a security guard who killed his brother-in- law Police
Officer 1 Federito Armateo Jr., a member of PNP Special Action Force assigned in Iligan
City

3. On the initial report, it appears that Mr. Amateo forcibly entered on the resienceof the
victim dated March 02, 2009 at approximately 2:30 in the morning. In attempt to calm
Armateo, Mr. Gallaza escalated that pushes him to shot a gun toward armateo that
causes the death of Armateo.

4. The victim PO1 Federito Armateo Jr was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending
physician. Recovered from the crime scene were two .45 caliber pistols with live
ammunition and a gun recoil spring while unfortunately the unlicensed .357 revolver
was not found after the suspect had thrown it into the rice fields

5. The investigation team is now waiting for the result of paraffin test to support the
evidences they have. They also investigate the area where the suspect throw then
unlicensed .357 revolvers. These results will have a great impact on the filing and
apprehension of the suspect.

6. A comprehensive final report, encompassing all relevant details, findings actions taken,
and recommendations for further proceedings, will be prepared upon the conclusion of
the investigation.
