simple roof water collection systems designed to store rainwater and to
mitigate runoff impacts. Enhancing Benefits with "Green Roofs": Blue
roofs are combined with “green roofs” to have the added benefit of
lowering urban air temperatures during heatwaves and boosting

STRATEGY (LT - LEDS). As per Article 4.19 of the Paris Agreement,
India submitted its LT-LEDS to the UNFCCC. Unlike, Nationally
Determined Contribution (NDC), LT-LEDS are not mandatory. It lays
down steps to achieve India’s net zero carbon emission by 2070.

• Article 51 A (g) of the Constitution makes it a fundamental duty of every


citizen to protect and improve the environment, while Article 48 A in the
Directive Principles of State Policy mandates the State to safeguard the
forests and wildlife of the country.
