ABOUT US
Indian Medical Association Medical Students’
Network (IMA-MSN) is the students’ wing of
IMA, aiming to connect medical
undergraduates from all govt. and private
medical colleges in India with the same goals
and purpose as IMA while also providing a
means for curricular and extra-curricular
activities to students.
OBJECTIVES
a) To sensitize the students in medical college of modern
medicine, about IMA and its activities with an aim to
enroll them as a member of IMA in future.
b) To help and guide them regarding future prospect in

medical career, education, ethics, research and
employment avenues.
c) To help and guide them to intervene if any problem

arises during their educational career.
d) To identify talents among MBBS students and to help

them for further improvement.
e) To involve them in various social and cultural activities

and national health programmes.
f) To publish matters towards accomplishing the

objectives. 03
COLLEGE COUNCIL
The College Council for tenure 2023-24 will have 5
members from each college comprising as follows-
1) College Convenor
2) College General Secretary
3) State Council Member
4) College Financial Secretary
5) College IT and Promotions Head
6) College Academic Head
7) College Cultural Head
NOTE- IT WILL BE MANDATORY FOR ALL THE STUDENTS

SELECTED IN COLLEGE COUNCIL TO GET REGISTERED IN
IMA-MSN AS ITS MEMBERS, THROUGH BASIC
REGISTRATION FEE.
DUTIES
All the members are expected to be active responders on
the whatsapp group.
COLLEGE CONVENOR
1. Primary point of contact for the state body will be the
college convenor.
2. College Convenor is expected to attend the state council
meetings.
3. College Convenor has to coordinate with college team for
the students who register as member of IMA-MSN and
make sure that they are added to Whatsapp group.
COLLEGE GENERAL SECRETARY

1. Secretary has to coordinate with other team members to
conduct events in the college.
2. Secratery has to provide final report of each event with
photos/videos to J.S. IT and Social Media.
3. To conduct events, health camps or for any other help,
college council secretary can contact the local IMA House
(For that state body can be told and they will connect you
to the local IMA branch).
DUTIES
STATE COUNCIL MEMBER
1. State council member is expected to attend the state
council meetings.
2. The state council member has to collect the membership
ID from every new member, make a list and forward the
list to the State General Secretary every 14 days.
3. State council member is supposed to take over the role of
college general secretary or college convenor in their
absence.
COLLEGE FINANCIAL SECRETARY

1. Financial Secretary has to conduct membership induction
drives.
2. If funds are required for any event, the finance secretary
can contact state core body and inform 15 days prior with
a tentative budget.
3. Finance secretary isexpected to keep the records of
transactions and expenses and help the council in
conducting activities
DUTIES
College IT and Promotions Head
1. He/she has to coordinate with the J.S. IT and Social Meida and
assist them in regulating social media handles and creating
posters.
2. He/she will be responsible for sharing information of each
event/ circular in each batch group of the respective college.
3. He/she will be responsible for posters, promotions,
photography of any event conducted bycollege MSN team.
COLLEGE ACADEMICS HEAD-

1. He/she will be reponsible for organising academic events in
the college.
2. Any statewide academic event, if conducted will be
moderated by him/her in the respective college.
3. He/she shall report to the J.S. Academics about every event.
COLLEGE CULTURAL HEAD

1. He/she will gbe reponsible for organising cultural events in
the college.
2. Any statewide cultural event, if conducted will be moderated
by him/her in the respective college.
3. He/she shall report to the J.S. Events about every event.
PERKS
Based on the performance of each college, the college
councils will be awarded at the end of tenure for 2023-24.
The members of council will be provided with letter of

recommendation from IMA state HQs.
College council members can get promoted into the state

team based on their performance and dedication towards
MSN.
Members will get the chance to attend Annual General Body

meeting and Annual zconvention.
Privilege to stay in IMA houses in India as per IMA rules.
Concessional fee for becoming life member of IMA within 06

months of full registration with medical council.
