FACTORY ACCEPTANCE TEST PROCEDURE Rev. A Page 5 of 53
CONTENTS
1 INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this document is to define the methods and documentation that will be used to carry out the
Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) on Yokogawa’s PCS (Process Control System) CENTUM VP and SGS
(Safety Guard System) PROSAFE RS. The FAT is performed to ensure that the system is properly
configured, assembled and functional in accordance with the intended design as specified in the approved
documents.
1.1 Objective
The objective of FAT is to demonstrate to PT. Rekayasa Energi Bersama and PGN SAKA PANGKAH
LIMITED that the system software & hardware are built in accordance to requirements as specified in the
approved documents.
PT. Rekayasa Energi Bersama would witness to verify the test. Upon successful completion of the test, a
FAT Test Certificate and Shipping Release Notice would be signed by Yokogawa and PT. Rekayasa Energi
Bersama and PGN SAKA PANGKAH LIMITED to signify the acceptance of the test and approval of shipment
of the equipment.
2.1 Definitions
3 TESTING
The scope of DCS FAT is limited to Hardware and and software for both PCS and SGS systems. The scope
of testing for FAT is specified in this chapter, including the types of equipment involved and the order of
testing and activities to be carried out.
Detailed test procedure for each test item is described in section 7 in this document. Check sheets will be
provided for items to be tested. All test results shall be recorded in check sheets. Colour marking shall be
used on the print-out of the check sheets, drawings, graphics and supporting design documents such as
I/O lists, control narratives etc. The following colour codes and mark-ups shall be used in the testing:
• Yellow marker – Items that were checked and cleared
PCS and SGS software function test will test all software applications. It will be conducted using the
CENTUM VP AND Prosafe RS Test Function software tool without connection to any physical I/O. Test
Function will be used to simulate process input, digital signal and alarms to FCS and SCS so that typical
loops, complex loops and logic/sequence blocks can be tested without connecting to physical input and
output devices. Dynamic graphics check shall be a part of the PCS Software function test.
PCS and SGS components for PRODUCED WATER TREATMENT WHP B project will be configured and
tested as per Bill of Materials (BOM) at Yokogawa office or staging.

proposed that daily tests end at 5.00 p.m. so that minor recovery can be made at the end of the day.
This will allow as much as possible Test Incident Record to be cleared.
Once all the inspection item approval forms have been successfully completed and signed off, the Factory
Acceptance Test Certificate shall be approved and signed off with the date recorded.
6 FAT DOCUMENTATION
Yokogawa will prepare all required FAT documentation prior to the start of FAT, including input document,
approved Yokogawa document, internal test records and etc. All the related documents, drawings and check
sheets. As listed in this procedure will be organised in indexed binders. A master index will be provided and
maintained by Yokogawa.
All FAT reference documents and test documents shall be stamped “FAT MASTER” on every page/sheet.
Any additional documents as required and generated later during FAT shall also be stamped, and indexes
amended accordingly.
Before the start of each test, the following administrative items are checked:
• AFC or officially submitted latest revision customer inputs as source and/or test reference documents
for the test. Latest document verification and/or implementation will be planned subject as part of
punch management process.
• All test instruments to be used during the test are identified in the Test Equipment Record
All shortcomings found or modifications required during the test shall be recorded in Punch Records. Each
punch record shall cover one punch item. A Punch Ledger will be used to summarize all the punch records.
Punch record will be reviewed during the daily meeting, the punch category codes (C/M/A) will be confirmed
and the action to be taken will be discussed and finalised. This is to ensure that the punch is clearly
understood and accepted by all parties. Upon satisfactory review with all parties, the punch will be accepted

by YIN FAT test engineer, officially recorded in the punch ledger and assigned with a unique punch reference
number.
If the recovery work involved is minor and agreed by all parties, the recovery work can be carried out on the
same day and will be re-tested/demonstrated immediately if required on the following day.
If the recovery work involves major change/modification, YIN will advise the schedule for retesting. Major
Modification/Addition will be carried out after DCR is approved.
Upon witnessed retest and verification, all parties shall sign off the punch record to close the punch.
YIN shall clear all punch items at factory before ship-out. Any punch items that could not be cleared due to
sourcing of material or hardware with long lead-time or other limitations shall be recorded as “Outstanding
Punches” and will be attached to the FAT Completion Certificate.
Upon completion of the FAT, FAT Completion Certificate shall be signed off by vendor, client user, and end
user. The purpose of these document is to certify that the FAT has been completed and accepted by client
user and end user and agree that the system is in order and can be released for shipment to installation
location at field. However, if the tested system is to be shipped out partially for what-so-ever reasons, client
user, and end user shall advice and issue the Shipping Release Note accordingly.

- Signal 3 = 20.00mA, corresponding to100% at HIS.
• Analog output:
From the faceplate at the HIS, set the output (MV) of the tag and measure the corresponding signal output
at the output terminals using an ammeter. For Analog Output points, following output signals shall be set:
- Signal 1 = 0.1%, corresponding to 4mA at output terminals.
- Signal 2 = 50%, corresponding to 12mA at output terminals.
- Signal 3 = 99.9%, corresponding to 20mA at output terminals.
• Digital input:
Open or close the input point at the input terminals and record the status indication for the corresponding
tag faceplate at the HIS. For Digital Input points, 2 input states shall be simulated:
- Signal 1 = 0 or open contact input signal.
- Signal 2 = 1 or close contact input signal.
