I had applied for a seat in SC / ST category through JoSAA 2023 and I am required to submit
the SC / ST (check one) certificate issued by the competent authority and the caste should have
been listed in the central list published by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment /
Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, to avail the benefit of the said category in
JoSAA 2023/ CSAB 2023. Since I have not been able to collect the requisite certificate, I would
like my category to be changed to the GEN category. I understand that once the category is
changed, I will not be able to avail the benefits of the said category, and this change of category
will be final for the purpose of any remaining activities of JoSAA 2023/CSAB 2023.

I understand that by submitting this form, the seat allocated to me in the SC / ST category will
be canceled, and I will be considered for a fresh allocation of seat based on the GEN category
in the next round of allocation (if any).

I had applied for a seat in OBC-NCL / GEN-EWS (check one) category through JoSAA 2023
and I am required to submit the OBC-NCL / GEN-EWS (check one) certificate issued on or
after April 1, 2023 by the competent authority and the caste should have been listed in the
central list published by the National Commission for Backward Classes, Government of India,
to avail the benefit of the said category in JoSAA 2023/ CSAB 2023. Since I have not been
able to collect the requisite certificate, I would like my category to be changed to the GEN
category. I understand that once the category is changed, I will not be able to avail the benefits
of the said category, and this change of category will be final for the purpose of any remaining
activities of JoSAA 2023 / CSAB 2023.

I understand that by submitting this form, the seat allocated to me in the OBC-NCL / GEN-
EWS category will be canceled, and I will be considered for a fresh allocation of seat based on
the GEN category in the next round of allocation (if any).
