The idea of sending five-year-olds to the primary school has been strongly objected by some parents.
Write an essay presenting positive and negative aspects of such solution.

There has recently been a national dispute about starting formal education at the age of five. Although it is
generally believed that children are ready to learn at this age, this idea has some disadvantages as well.

B. _______________________________
To start with, it is often suggested that this age is a time of enormous linguistic and sensory growth. It
would be a shame not to exploit this critical period of a child’s development. The statistical data shows that
earlier education heightens self- esteem and confidence. Moreover, the sooner children start education
the better their social and emotional maturity. Another advantage of earlier education is developing
learning habits which can bear fruit in later school years.

C. _______________________________
On the other hand, it is often argued that earlier education takes away childhood since children are taken
from their fairy-tale worlds and suddenly introduced into the serious world of their parents. Moreover,
pressure connected with learning may cause stress or depression. Being deprived of their playful
childhood, children are made to undertake more diverse homework than they can handle. As a  result, they
can rebel and become unwilling to learn anything.

To conclude, we can see that there is the same number of benefits and drawbacks of sending five-year-olds
to school. I am convinced that it is too early to send children to school at the age of five and I think that this
idea will stop children’s natural eagerness to learn.

OPINION ESSAY
More and more people give up the idea of preparing meals at home and they eat in restaurants or canteens. Write
an opinion essay presenting your opinion about this topic taking into consideration the quality of food and
comfort.

A. ______________________________
Making your own food at home is out of fashion. People are simply too busy to cook and they decide to
have meals in restaurants or canteens at work or at school. In my opinion, it is a very sensible solution as it
saves a lot of time and energy in our busy lives.

B. ____________________________
Younger generations have not been taught how to cook well, so in their case having a homemade meal
does not necessarily mean something tasty and nutritious. Many restaurants offer meals made from fresh
ingredients prepared by professional chefs. We can be sure that the meals served there are of the highest
standards because there is a strong competition between restaurants.What is more, eating out helps your
kitchen to be impeccably clean. There are no plates and pots piling up in the sink. Not only do you save
time on cleaning, but also on planning meals.

C. ______________________________
However, most of people would probably say that eating out is expensive. If you have a big family that
might be the case. The cost of an average meal for a bunch of people in a restaurant might be higher than
the cost of a homemade meal.

D. ______________________________
Summing up, eating out is a great idea when you choose the places to dine carefully. For people who are
busy at work it can be a very convenient option saving time and money. I strongly believe that eating out is
the future of dining.
