Ref: Reply to letter PLA/INS/126/17/1600 dt 15.05.2023

Sir,

With due respect I have the honour to inform you that in reference to your letter mentioned above
I would like to inform you that I am the small Tea Grower running a tea garden under name of Shri
Shankar Gupta (which is grown over an area of 23.50 Bigha on a plot of land under P.P. No. 26,
61 covered by situated at Brahmajan Village, Sub-Division - Margherita, District - Tinsukia.

As per Sec. 3B(1) read with sec. 1(4) as per your notice for plantation Labour Act’1951 plantation
having 5 (five) hectares and above required for Registration under the Assam Plantation Labour
Rules, 1956

But Sir, Sorry to inform that, I have only 23.50 Bigha Land which is exemption category under the
Assam Plantation Labour Rules, 1956

I therefore request to you please look into the matter and give me exemption as
per Rules and Act of The Assam Plantation Labour Rules, 1956

This is for your Information and necessary action.
