Lesson Plan

Name: Pamela Level: BGN Time: 0930 Date: 5/4/2023

Description of class:
Mostly Chinese students in their 40s and 1 Brazillian student. They are all beginners in English. Some students
have previously took the Beginner class but they have forgotten the basics and rejoining the BGN class again.

Main aims:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to vocalise to their friends what are the activities they do on a
typical weekend.

Subsidiary aims: know how to pronounce certain verbs and nouns relating to weekends.

Timetable fit:
This lesson fits into a course that meets twice a week for 12 weeks, with each lesson lasting 2 hours.

Pictures flashcards from google

Anticipated problems and solutions:

Students may struggle with meaning of Use picture flashcards on google to acts as visual
new words. (For example, mountains, movies aids for the students.
etc)

Students may struggle with question formation. Group students into pairs and set up a Question and
Answer pair work activity.

Students may struggle with pronounciation of Include listening component and pronounce difficult
new words. (For example, mountains, movies words together at least 3 times as a group.
etc)
