GUIDELINES ON THE ALLOCATION OF FUNDS FOR VENUE, MEALS AND

SNACKS, AND ROOM ACCOMMODATION FOR OFFICIAL ACTIVITIES ORGANIZED
AND CONDUCTED BY DEPED-SCHOOLS DIVISION OF SOUTH COTABATO

1. DepEd Order No. 15, s. 2017 dated March 14, 2017 has been issued to
provide the Guidelines on the Allocation of Funds for Venue, Meals and Snacks,
and Room Accommodation for Official Activities Organized and Conducted by the
Department of Education.

2. Section 6 of this Order stressed out that the agency shall exercise prudence
and economy in the delivery of government services, suitability to the nature of
activities and programs, accessibility to the participants and clientele, among
others. The principle of value for money based on allocation of resources shall be
observed.

3. In line with this Order, these are the new rates that can be used as activity
based costing of trainings and conferences that will be conducted by this division.

a. Face-to-Face

Lunch/Dinner – 200.00
Snacks – 75.00
Room Accommodation – 900.00

b. Live Out

4. These new rates were formulated based on the assessment of the prevailing
rates in the locality with considerations of the budgetary allocation/allotment of
our agency for the conduct of seminars and conferences. All expenses shall be
within the allowable rates except in cases of high level activities, subject to the
approval of the Schools Division Superintendent. All expenditures for the purpose
thereof shall be subject to the usual budgeting and accounting rules and
regulations.

5. The new rates shall take effect today, November 23, 2020, to facilitate the
transactions under the Cash-Based Budgeting.

6. Immediate dissemination of this Memorandum is directed.
