OUTLINE FOR INTERNSHIP REPORT

Industrial Management: Logistics and Supply Chain Management Program


Internship report I: 2 credits
Internship report II: 4 credits ( include: Academic reading and
writting skills, Leadership skill)

1. Objectives
The internship helps student to:
 Understand operation activities in the enterprise
 Understand and collect data, documents, the procedure of industrial
management, logistics, and supply chain management
 Apply knowledge and analyze, evaluate the operation, logistics/ supply
chain at the company

2. Requirements for student:


 Students must find a suitable enterprise and contact to get permission to
enter the internship. During the internship, students should follow the
company regulation, and report WEEKLY to the Advisor.
 After the internship, the student should submit final reports (Report I and
Report II) and defense the internship's reports.

3. Report’s suggestion
 Report length: Each report should have 25 pages -35 pages (Minimum pages
for Report I: 25 pages; Minimum pages for Report II: 35 pages)
 The report should have the following sections: Cover page, Company
evaluation form, Table of contents, List of Tables and Figures, Contents of
each chapter, References, and Appendix (if have).
 Time new roman, 12-13, justify, Chapter title Capital (14 pt).

INTERNSHIP REPORT I:
Chapter 1: General Introduction about the Enterprise (7) (1/3)
1.1. Overview and development of enterprise:
- Name, address
- Development history.
- Business strategy
- Enterprise’s scale
1.2. Business function of enterprise:
- Products/ service of the enterprise.
- Operation/ service process. (general)

1.3. Organizational hierarchy:


- Management hierachy.
- The function of departments.

Chapter II: Analysis of industrial management and logistics and supply chain
management (15-18p) (2/3)
2.1 Production and Operation Management. (Manufacturer/ Service)
- Production/ service procedure (detail)
- Product’s technical requirement or service’s requirement
- Bill of material, or service’s component
- Production layout, warehouse layout
- Analyze production and operation management: advatantage and
disadvantage

2.2. Supply chain and logistics management


- Logistics and supply chain flow (supplier/ vendor, plants, distribution )
- Analyze inbound logistics (list of the supplier, inventory, transportation,
warehouse,...)
- Analyze outbound logistics (list of the retailer, customer)
- Analyze distribution channel (draw distribution channel)
- Analyze customer service
- Advantage and disadvantage of supply chain and logistics of the
enterprise
- Planning/ quality, maintenance

- TMS, WMS
- Network
- Activities/ Resources
- KPIs
- Evaluation
