Cloud computing
Cloud computing is the delivery of computing services including servers, storage,
databases, networking, software, analytics, and intelligence over the Internet (“the cloud”) to offer faster
innovation, flexible resources, and economies of scale.

• You typically pay only for cloud services you use.

• It helping lower your operating costs, run your infrastructure more efficiently.
• Cloud computing eliminates the capital expense of buying hardware and software.
• In just a few mouse clicks, giving businesses a lot of flexibility and taking the pressure off capacity
planning.
Services in Cloud computing

Three major services in Cloud Computing Technology.

1. Software as a service (SaaS)

2. Platform as a service (PaaS)

3. Infrastructure as a service (IaaS)

Infrastructure as a service (IaaS)
You can rent IT infrastructure servers and virtual machines (VMs), storage, networks, operating
systems from a cloud provider on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Software as a service (SaaS)

It is a method for delivering software applications over the Internet, on demand and typically on a
subscription basis

Platform as a service (PaaS)

Supply an on-demand environment for developing, testing, delivering and managing software
applications. It is designed to make it easier for developers to quickly create web or mobile apps.

Uses
◦ Store, back up and recover data
◦ Analyse data
◦ Stream audio and video
◦ Deliver software on demand
Cyber Law

In India, cyber laws are contained in the Information Technology Act, 2000 (“IT Act”) which came
into force on October 17, 2000. The main purpose of the Act is to provide legal recognition to electronic
commerce and to facilitate filing of electronic records with the Government.

Importance of cyberlaw in Cloud Technology,

Cyber law is important because it touches

almost all aspects of transactions, activities
and on involving the internet, World Wide Web.

Every action and reaction in cyberspace has some legal and cyber legal angles.
