    Wash-out is where tissue load radiocontrast during arterial phase, but then returns to a rather
    hypodense state in venous or later phases. This is a property of (for example) hepatocellular
    carcinoma as compared to the rest of the liver parenchyma.

    Rapid wash-out is presence of hypodensity/ hypointensity of the lesion as compared to the rest of
    the liver on portovenous or delayed phases , and has a specificity of 95-96% for diagnosis of HCC
