ABSTRACT

The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between fogok flexibility and
heading skills at SMP Negeri 1 Kambowa students. The population in this study were
all students of SMP Negeri 1 Kambowa, amounting to 158 students consisting of 99
boys and 59 girls. This research is included in the type of quantitative research using
the correlation method, where the researcher wants to know the relationship between
the flexibility of the stick with the skill of heading the ball in the students of SMP
Negeri 1 Kambowa. The sampling technique used in this study was based on
purposive sampling, namely the sex of 99 men. Then it was re-selected with the
consideration of students who are skilled at playing soccer and heading the ball, so
that 30 samples were obtained. The test instrument used in this study was togok
flexibility using Static flexibility test trunk and neck. To measure the skill of heading
the ball is to test the bounce wall and the target wall using the ball and a stopwatch.
The data analysis technique used the SPSS version 16 application. The results
obtained from testing the hypothesis that the togok flexibility had a relationship with
the skill of heading the ball, where rxy = 0, 914 at a significant level of 0.000>0.05,
with a coefficient of determination o r²= 0.835 or 83.5% while 16.5% influenced by
other factors. This study can be concluded that there is a significant relationship
between the flexibility of the stick with the skill of heading the ball in the students of
SMP Negeri 1 Kambowa
