Education, The Chandbagh DPS is catering to the academic activities from Play
Group to Grade XII of CBSE and SLC boards. It is one of the most reputed
institutions in central Tarai, educating hundreds of students from Nepal and
India. One can see with immense pride students growing intellectually,
psychologically, culturally, and spiritually. The achievements of our students
are testified not only by the lessons acquired here, but also by their ability to
apply those lessons in real life. Children are eager beavers who are preparing
themselves for bigger challenges in life ahead and our untiring efforts are
geared towards balancing academics, extra-curricular and co-curricular
activities and instilling discipline and values for sound growth.

We at The Chandbagh DPS organize intra-section, inter-house and inter-school

competitions, focus on spoken and written English and care for the behavioral,
social, emotional and physical wellbeing of children. With the help of a highly
qualified and experienced teaching faculty, we prepare and send children to
national, regional and international competitions. In short, we aspire for a

Management of the School

CG Education, a unit of Chaudhary Group, Nepal’s first multinational company,

The Chandbagh DPS curriculum incorporates wide-ranging “Co-curricular
and Extra Curricular Activities” as its integral parts. We strongly feel that
only proper exposure can encourage students to go beyond the comfort zone of
the classroom and confidently face the ever changing world and its challenges.
Students’ participations in various activities prepare them mentally for
safeguarding their interests in a world of cut-throat competition without

ACADEMICS & TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Rather than pressuring students with textbooks and work books, the school
wants them to develop their ECAs and academics in a balanced way. With the
motto ‘World Class Excellence in Education,’ we provide a homely

Note: The subjects in SLC as well as CBSE Board are subject to

change per the rule and requirement.

PROGRAMS AND CURRICULUMS

The school offers two programs: SLC (School Leaving Certificate), Ministry of
Education, Nepal, and CBSE [Central Board of Secondary Education], India.

The language of instruction in all the subjects except Nepali and Hindi is
English. All modern methodologies such as audio visual, project, creative work,
and practical work are used as tools to impart instruction to pupils. Homework
is regarded as an extended revision of the class activity and we believe in giving
balanced, interesting and project-based homework that stimulates students’
learning faculties.

LEVEL WISE In-Charges

For an effective functioning and smart management, as well as for

facilitating easy excess for parents and QSS, we have in-charges
in each level: Pre-Primary, Primary, Lower Secondary,
Secondary and Senior Secondary.

HEAD OF DEPARTMENT SYSTEM

The Heads of Department bear key roles and responsibilities in making

academic achievements more practical and value oriented. The school has set up
various departments according to the requirements of the subjects. The system
has helped in monitoring students’ development in dual-way: students are first
guided by teachers and then by the head of the concerned subject.

HoDs observe and listen to problems, analyze them, and come up with remedial
programs. They also evaluate the progress and provide necessary feedback to
the parents, subject teachers and coordinators.

EVALUATION AND PROMOTION

The school tests and evaluates each student on a regular basis. For the SLC
wing, three unit and three terminal tests will be conducted during the period of
one year. However, for CBSE we conduct 4 FA exams and two SA tests. At the
end of the year, the total cumulative marks of all the terms will be the criteria of
promotion to the next grade.

In CBSE, CCE (Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation) is our key focus.

At the end of the year, their CGPA (Cumulative Grade Points Average) is the
basis for promotion.
Apart from this, students are also evaluated in terms of their involvement and
performance in co-curricular and extra –curricular activities.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

The school’s admission procedure is as follows:

 Registration form should be obtained from the School Office during the
school hours.
 The School Office will give you the correct day, date and time for written
entrance test. Test conducted will be comprised of English, Nepali/Hindi,
Mathematics and Science or per the decision of examination committee.
It will be followed by interview to be accompanied by the parents of the
prospective student.

 Successful candidates will be informed after the declaration of results

within the same day.

 After the completion of aforementioned formalities, the students will be

given an offer letter for admission.

 The submission of the following documents is required:

- Xerox of birth certificate
- Two passport sized photographs
- Transfer certificate from the previous school
- Xerox of the mark sheet of recently passed class

 The uniform has to be stitched within a week of admission

 Text books, exercise books and other stationeries have to be managed by
the parents per the book list given by the school
 Although transportation is available in a wider range, parents can use
their own vehicle.

FEES
Student fee bills will be sent once in two months’ period. Parents are
asked to make payment before the specified deadline on the bill. Payment
should be made ONLY to specified banks.

TEAM The Chandbagh DPS

Our team comprises a panel of renowned educationists, management
experts, IT professionals and highly trained and qualified teaching
faculty. In fact, guided and supervised by CG|Education, Team The
Chandbagh is the steering committee responsible for managing day to day
affairs of the school.

The Team, however, feels that its effort can have desired outcome only
when it is assisted by the ‘aspiring hands of the school.’ So, it has
invested the School’s Head Boy and Girl, School Prefects and Class
Prefects with a set of responsibilities. And as such, they form another
important organ of the Team.
