Copied From : https://www.britannica.com/technology/input-output-device. peripheral

device, also known as peripheral, computer peripheral, input-output device,
or input/output device, any of various devices (including sensors) used to enter information
and instructions into a computer for storage or processing and to deliver the processed data to
a human operator or, in some cases, a machine controlled by the computer. Such devices
make up the peripheral equipment of modern digital computer systems.

1. Keyboard
Copied from:š https://www.computerhope.com/jargon/k/keyboard.html. A keyboard is one of
the primary input devices used with a computer. Similar to an electric typewriter, a keyboard
is composed of buttons used to create letters, numbers, and symbols, and perform additional
functions. The following sections provide more in-depth information and answers to
frequently asked questions about the keyboard.

2.2 What are the types of Peripheral For Computer (Mouse) ?

2. Mouse
Copied from:š https://study.com/learn/lesson/computer-peripherals.html .A mouse is an input
device because it sends information to the computer. A mouse is used to tell the computer
which way to move the cursor. A microphone is another peripheral that is an input device.
The microphone sends audio data to the computer. Neither the mouse nor the microphone
receives data from the computer. The computer does not move the mouse, nor does it use the
microphone as a speaker. Input devices are strictly one-way devices.

3. Printer
Copied from:š https://www.computerhope.com/jargon/p/printer.html. A printer is an external
hardware output device that takes the electronic data stored on a computer or other device
and generates a hard copy. For example, if you created a report on your computer, you could
print several copies to hand out at a staff meeting. Printers are one of the most popular
computer peripherals and are commonly used to print text and photos. The picture is an
example of an inkjet computer printer, the Lexmark Z605.

4. Webcam
Copied from:š https://nerdytechy.com/is-a-webcam-an-input-or-output-device .A webcam is a
peripheral device that allows you to capture video and photos with your computer. It connects
to your computer via a USB port or a built-in port, and you can use it to record video calls or
take pictures. Some webcams also come with built-in microphones, which allow you to
record audio. A webcam is an input device that captures digital images. These are transferred
to the computer, which moves them to a server. From there, they can be transmitted to the
hosting page. Laptops and desktops are often equipped with a webcam.

2.2 What are the types of Peripheral For Computer (DVD-Rom) ?

5. DVD-Rom
Copied from:šhttps://www.easytechjunkie.com/what-is-a-dvd-rom.html. A Digital Versatile
Disc –Read Only Memory, or DVD-ROM, is a media storage disk that closely resembles a
CD or compact disc. The major difference is that the DVD is formatted to hold far more data.
A CD commonly has a capacity of 650 megabytes, while the smallest capacity DVD can store
about seven times more data, or 4.38 gigabytes (GB). There are various kinds of DVDs, but
the DVD-ROM refers to a read-only disc, or a disc that cannot be written over. A DVD movie
bought from the local video store is a good example. Blank DVDs with designations like
“DVD-R” and “DVD+R” are formatted, recordable DVDs. The —R and +R refer to
competing format standards, but both will record movies, audio, or other data.

6. Microphone

Copied from:šhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microphone .A microphone, colloquially called

mic or mike (/maɪk/), is a transducer that converts sound into an electrical signal.
Microphones are used in many applications such as telephones, hearing aids, public address
systems for concert halls and public events, motion picture production, live and recorded
audio engineering, sound recording, two-way radios, megaphones, and radio and television
broadcasting. They are also used in computers for recording voice, speech recognition, VoIP,
and for other purposes such as ultrasonic sensors or knock sensors.
3.CONCLUSION

In my opinion Peripherals for computer are important components that extend and enhance
the functionality of a computer system. Peripherals include various hardware devices that are
connected to a computer to provide additional input, output, and functionality. such as ;

1. Input Provision: Peripherals such as keyboards, mice, and pen tablets provide a way for the
user to provide input to the computer. The keyboard is used for typing, the mouse for moving
the cursor, and the pen tablet for drawing or writing by hand. Each of these devices plays an
important role in optimizing human-computer interaction.

2.Additional Functionality: Other peripherals, such as webcams, microphones, scanners, and

joysticks, add additional functionality to a computer system. Webcams and microphones
enable video and audio communications, scanners enable digitization of physical documents,
and joysticks provide greater control in games.

I think peripherals for computers play a very important role in enhancing the performance,
functionality, and convenience of using computer systems. By connecting the appropriate
peripherals, users can expand the capabilities of their computer according to their needs, be it
for everyday productivity, entertainment, or other special needs.
