Dear Sir,
With reference to the technical Proposal of by Dr. K. S. Ramakrishna (General Manager &
Head, Foundation & Geotechnical Engineering Cell) via letter cited above under reference
no (3) and also further to the subsequent discussions, we have successfully carried out
load tests and executed another 3 piles by using polymer as the replacement for bentonite.
The following two load tests were conducted on the below mentioned piles which was
successful and satisfies the acceptance criteria as per the technical specification.

Further to this, we wish to highlight the follo\
usage’
19 advantages of polymer over bentonite
Time for hydration is not required, Polymer can be used directly.
Flushing time is only 30 min where as its 120 min for bentonite.
Tos cleaning is ensured.
Very minimal wastage through slush in comparison to bentonite.
Productivity relatively high in comparison to bentonite,
Itrequires small set up.
Good housekeeping.
NOgAeNe
Hence we propose to use polymer as a replacement of bentonite for part of the
work.
We request you to review and approve the same.
Thanking you and assuring you the best services at all times.
Yours faithfully,
For Larsen & Toubro Limited,
