Darawat Dam Project

Darawat Dam is located across Nai Baran near Jhangri Village in Jamshoro District.
The dam site is located about 70 kms West of Hyderabad and 135 kms North East of
Karachi and accessible from Karachi Hyderabad Super Highway. The command area
falls in Thatta District.

Objectives
 Conservation of 89,177 acre-ft of flood water of Nai Barran
 Irrigated agriculture development of 25,000 acres
 Socio-Economic uplift of remote areas of Sindh
 Fisheries Development
 Women Emancipation
 Provision of water for domestic and drinking purposes
