burning of fossil fuels, industrial activities, and transportation. The effects of climate
change vary from rising sea levels, severe weather events, drought, and flooding, to the
extinction of species.
One of the primary causes of climate change is because of greenhouse gases going into
the atmosphere. Greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide
trap heat from the sun, preventing it from escaping into space, and causing the Earth's
temperature to rise. Human activities such as deforestation and burning of fossil fuels
for transportation and industrial activities led to an increase in the concentration of
greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, which has resulted in global warming. The more
greenhouse gases there are in the atmosphere, the more the Earth's temperature will
rise.
The effects of climate change are various. One of the most important effects is the
melting of ice, which leads to rising sea levels, which leads to flooding of coastal cities,
loss of homes, and people go missing. The increased frequency and intensity of extreme
weather events, such as hurricanes, droughts, and wildfires, are also caused by and
events of the climate change. These events have critical effects on communities, leading
to loss of life, destruction of homes and property, and disruption of livelihoods.
