    Merbok Public Library was established in 2008 and inaugurated on 15 February 2009 by YB.

    Dato' Seri Hj. Mohd Shafie bin Hj. Apdal. The public library has four staff led by Puan
    Zarinawati binti Zakaria as Assistant Librarian S19/S22. He was assisted by Mrs. Aswani
    binti Awang, Mr. Mohd Zaidi bin Mahd Noor and also Mrs. Haslyhidayah binti Saedon.
    Approximately 300-400 visitors came to use the services of this public library within a week.
    The number of visitors present is also affected by the revision week by university students
    and exam season such as the Form 3 Assessment (PT3), Malaysian Certificate of Education
    (SPM) and Malaysian Higher Certificate of Education (STPM). The classification system
    used by this public library is the Dewey Decimal Classification System (DDC). This public
    library has two floors. The first floor is a reading room for children while the second floor is
    educational scientific materials
