Inside a classroom are students with varying needs and learning styles.

Students are very unique


in their own ways. There are students who stand out during exams or quizzes, and there are those
who excel in recitations, and class activities. There are students who show more interest in group
activities but there are also those who are more engaged in individualized activities. I have seen a
student who loves activities that involved them, but I also encountered those who don't have
enough confidence to be involved in class.

The range of learning styles is wide and if teachers only focus on activities that cater to the needs
of one group but not the other, chances are, only the students that excel in that activity will
develop and the students whose needs are not met will feel detached in the learning process. This
is why it is a need for teachers to devise a plan that will be most useful during instruction. The
plan should involve activities that are varied.

For an effective delivery of knowledge to happen, it is a must for teachers to include many tools
and varied activities in the learning process. Activities should be able to target many aspects
instead of a specific one. The use of many assessments to check the level of understanding the
students are at, and the knowledge they acquired after the instruction will allow the teacher to
make a good judgment regarding the effectiveness of his teaching. Personally, I have learned that
I should have devised more group activities to collaborate with the different learners as it is an
effective way to cater to the needs of a larger group.

My internship has made me realize how diverse a classroom is. My duty is to make sure that in
the future I will be able to make learning not only fun but also inclusive. I dream to create
activities that will allow my learners to learn but also enjoy the lesson. After all, if learners have
access to various activities, it will make learning easier and more enjoyable for them.
