Dear Kelly McGivern PT, DPT:

I am interested in the position that is open at the UW Medicine Outpatient Medical Center, I heard this
position was open after I attended a clinical experience with you in my third year of physical therapy
school. I will be receiving my Doctor of Physical Therapy in May 2024 from the University of North
Dakota and I already have my Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from there as well. I believe with
my background this position would be a great fit for me.

Throughout my undergraduate career I was an athletic training major and I put in over 2000 clinical
hours, a portion of these being in the University of North Dakota’s Physical Therapy Clinic, UND Center
for Sports Medicine, as well as various athletic training rooms on campus. I am accustomed to a fast-
paced environment and would be able to adjust quickly there.

I have a solid foundation of information and skills that I can always fall back on. These skills include,
documentation, communication, rehabilitation along with various others that I have yet to implement
into patient care that I was exposed to in physical therapy school. I have learned every situation is
different and when I hit a wall or am unsure of what to do next, I am not afraid to ask for help.
