AFFIDAVIT OF EXPLANATION

I, PSSg Roy Mansalinog Manga, 45 years old, male, married, Filipino and a
resident of Purok 2 Bogo, Pagadian City, a bona fide member of the Philippine National
Police presently assigned at Pagadian City Police Station, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del
Sur after having duly sworn to in accordance with law do hereby depose and state,
THAT:

1. On June 26, 2023, I received a memorandum from PCOL DIOMARIE S

ALBARICO, Provincial Director, Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office, directing
me to explain in writing why no disciplinary action should be instituted against me, for
failure to renew or temporarily deposit my personal firearm herein described as follows:

2. In this regard, the undersigned is humbly asking for the utmost consideration
and understanding of the Provincial Director for failure to register the aforementioned
firearm from the time of its expiration.

3. The truth of the matter is that the undersigned was constantly seeking to renew
the same, however due to time constraints and financial considerations, I was not able to
do so. From the time of its expiration, the said firearm was no longer used since I was
issued with a long firearm by Pagadian City Police Station;

4. In compliance with the existing laws, regulations and guidelines of the PNP, I
do hereby undertake to immediately process the renewal of the registration of the said
firearm in order to avoid any legal sanctions that may be imposed upon me. Hence, I am
respectfully praying that I'd be given reasonable period of time within which to renew my
firearms registration.

5. Rest assured that I will comply with any legal orders that will be given to me
with regards to my firearm while I am in the process of renewing the registration of the
same.
