INTRODUCTION

CITCS 12 IT Summit, titled Let I.T be you: Encapsulating Digital Transformation

for Future Information Technology Professionals, was held on May 12, 2023. The

entire Pamantasan staff, along with the instructors, proudly gave the webinar to

the students in order to encourage everyone to have the confidence to pursue

their goals, particularly in innovative technologies.

Because of the Master of Ceremony Engr. Joshua Tigno, the flow of the program

was overly structured. The performance begins with the doxology, of course, and

is followed by the Philippine National Anthem, Muntinlupa March, PLMUN Hymn,

and Assoc. Prof. Alain J. Anuevo, CITCS Dean, as well as Dr. Marites Tagulao,

Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Raymundo P. Arcega, CESE proxy

by Dr. Solayao, delivered encouraging messages. This was followed by Ms.

Kirsten Villanueva introducing the speakers. She introduces Dr. Ernesto Boydon,

who will be giving a speech that would enlighten the students on the path they

are on. Following the Question and Answer session and the prize draw, the BSIT

students proudly presented their research colloquium to share their innovative

concepts with the students.

OPENING REMARKS

We are privileged as IT students to be pursuing a career in one of the most

intriguing and active fields of our day. Because of the rapid rate of technological

advancements, we will have access to a world of opportunity to make a

difference in society, innovate, and discover innovative solutions to real-world

problems as technology advances. As a soon-to-be IT expert, you will have the

opportunity to apply your skills and knowledge to a wide range of sectors and

projects. Projects that are both tough and interesting. The IT industry is

expanding rapidly. So, accept your journey as an IT student and prepare to

make a great impact. As an IT expert, you can make a difference in the world.

COVERED TOPIC DISCUSSED BY THE SPEAKER

Dr. Ernesto Boydon enlightens us on how our knowledge grows in terms of

innovating technology and how we can easily adapt the changes in our technology
for us to use it in our future business, as well as how we think strategically so that
we can easily get back up when we fail in business or in the goal we're striving to
achieve.

His topic is relevant to the field I've chosen since it helps me think critically, especially
when it comes to problem resolution. He shows us how to be adroit, flexible, and
adaptable by demonstrating ingenuity in handling situations, moving fast and
effortlessly, and changing to suit varied surroundings. He also addresses the fact
that innovation is now an official part of our lives, thus we must plan strategically in
order to be a part of the world's advancement.

As we are now in the technological era, there are many chances that we will be a
part of the world's innovation, particularly in the field of technology. As we complete
and pursue our studies, a plethora of career and job prospects await us. Dr. Boydon
provides ideas and guidance that we can use to do our jobs better when we are
already working. He teaches us his own Davidic Growth Journey so that we can
achieve growth goals that benefit both ourselves and the firm.

Technological developments have resulted in substantial advances in a variety of

industries, transforming the way people live, work, and communicate. It has also
improved people's lives, enhanced productivity, and promoted worldwide networking
and information sharing. A strategic plan is essential in technology innovation since
it sets goals, resources, and actions to achieve success. Innovating technology may
lack direction, squander resources, and struggle to make meaningful progress
without a good plan. As a result, we must think critically in order to discover
problems, evaluate solutions, and generate unique ideas that satisfy people's needs.

CLOSING REMARKS

Ma'am Kaycee Mendez's closing remarks were smart and made an

impression on me. She began by thanking everyone who came, emphasizing

the significance of teamwork in making events like the IT summit a success.

She also praised the crucial work of the resource speaker, highlighting the need

of learning from seasoned IT workers. Furthermore, Ma'am Kaycee Mendez

recognized the potential of IT students, which inspired me to keep aiming for

perfection. Her words reminded me of the difference we can make as future IT

professionals, and I left the event feeling inspired and motivated.

I was overjoyed to see that the five groups who presented their capstone

projects were recognized, highlighting the importance of research and creativity

in the IT profession. Ma’am Kaycee Mendez closing remarks serves as the

inspiration for me to embrace the difficulties and possibilities that lay ahead and

make a meaningful contribution to the world of IT.
