I came across your position when discussing possible internships and jobs with a classmate. I am
currently seeking a position as an animal care professional within the Africa Hoofstock team at
ZooTampa.

My interest in your animal care stems from my love of wildlife and Wildlife Conservation.
Throughout the courses I have taken in my college career, my interest in wildlife has only
continued to grow. Your mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and care for animals demonstrates the
time and care that should be put into the variety of wildlife that need conservation. My
coursework at the University of South Florida in classes such as global conservation and
introduction to environmental science has provided me with not only information about the
different types of wildlife and their habitats, but also a variety of different approaches that can be
utilized to contribute to the conservation of these animals. These classes, along with other
coursework that I have taken for my bachelor's degree in environmental science and policy, has
allowed me to gain skill and understanding that can contribute to the work that the zoo does, both
within the zoo and the conservation that must be done outside of the zoo. Some of the skills that I
have developed are organization, communication, both oral and written, and flexibility. For more
