    Fatou is the first ever black K-pop idol. She was born in Senegal and lived there until age 12 when she moved to Belgium. When she discovered K-pop music, she fell in love with the feeling of happiness and confidence it brought her. She traveled to South Korea to pursue her dream of becoming a singer. After working as an airport worker and model, she joined DR Entertainment and became a member of the girl group Blackswan. Blackswan has been on hiatus but will make a comeback with new members. Fatou has faced mixed opinions but is proud to have achieved her goal of belonging to the K-pop community.
