1. The life of a farmer is hard. He wakes up as soon as the cock crows. He eats a hurried breakfast.
Then, he goes out of the house although it is raining very hard. He must plant rice seedlings

2. Filipinos have many beautiful customs. They kiss the hands of their elders as a sign of respect.
They also use words like po and opo. They help one another to make work lighter and easier to
finish. They also help others through the bayanihan way.
3. There are many games played in the Philippines. Two of the most popular games are sipa and
arnis. Sipa or sepak takraw is a game that aims to kick a softball made out of rattan fragments
back and forth over a net. Arnis is our national sport. It is taught in schools. The newer sports
are basketball, baseball, football, and volleyball.

In the Near Future
A tireless car may be one of the cars we shall have in the near future. There are no tires. Traffic will not
be a problem. It hovers in the air, so it is environment friendly. It uses water for fuel and emits oxygen
in its exhaust.
A garbage machine would be like a vendo machine. Instead of putting in money for a drink, you put in
an empty bottle or can. Presto! This garbage machine will spit out money. People can earn money and
at the same time dispose of their garbage properly. What happens if there will be more and more people
in the future? Imagine that there is less space for houses, vehicles, buildings, markets, and schools.
Many people will just stay at home to do business. This will lessen the number of cars on the road. And
you will just study at home. There will be no more schools and teachers. Can you imagine that?
