Vide letters under reference, nodal railway units were nominated for identifying items/group of
items, mentioned in the said letters, which are of high value and material intensive. It was further
decided that these nodal units shall be nodal unit on the subject in all respects i.e. framing/reviewing
Price Variation Clause/formula, circulating the Price Variation Clause/formula to all Railway units under
intimation to Board, handling representations/suggestions from stakeholders etc. For the items for
which RailwayBoard has issued the Price Variation Clause/formula,the same shallcontinue to be dealt
by Railway Board. Al railway units shall follow these Price Variation Clauselformula uniformly.
2 In continuation to above, it has now been decided that South Central Railway shall be nominated
Railway for all Engineering items. Allother provisions shallbe same as in above referred letters.
3 The activity shall be done through a commitee of 03 SAG officers from Engineering, Stores and
Finance departments and approved by PHOD of Engineering Department, who shall also coordinate all
the activities under the letters referred.

4 The exercise should be completed within twO months.
