Students in a group of 2 are required to do research analysis and prepare a case study scenario on
any Manufacturing/ service organization operating in UAE. First, your team should go through the
existing operational process of the organization and prepare a case study reflecting quantitative and
qualitative reports on the organization's operational processes. Later, the group should identify
issues or areas of improvement in the operational process.
Based on your research, design and develop a sustainable operation management system applicable
to the firm as a recommendation.
Your team should complete the following tasks to prepare the case study report:
Task 1: A brief introduction to the organization chosen and its products. Also, explain why
operations management is important for an organization.
Task 2: Identify and analyze the key operational processes of the firms to produce and deliver the
end product for the customers.
Students can analyze the following key operational processes for the case study:
1. Inventory management
2. Quality Management
3. Production process/service delivery process
4. Supply Chain Management
Discuss and apply any relevant operations management strategies/theories you identify for these
organizations.
