    Referral

    Establishing Assessment: to ascertain learner needs and identify appropriate tutor

    Initial Assessment: to assess and verify stage at which learner is working

    Diagnostic Assessment: to provide detailed information about a learner’s strengths and areas for development

    Tutor Assessments
    Formative assessments: to provide tutor with information for on-going lesson planning
    Summative assessments: to provide information for progress, achievement and reporting

    Evaluation: to evaluate the effectiveness of the teaching and provide quality assurance of the process
