3. Write an essay on the Philippine Health System – its strengths and weaknesses (using data from the
tables) and the implications to health (health indicators in Table 1). Compare/contrast with the
countries selected.
In general, the Philippines' healthcare system is of high quality. Medical personnel in the Philippines
are highly qualified, but the facilities in which they work are of lower quality than those found in
high-end US or European healthcare institutions.

Although the Philippines' state-funded public healthcare system is generally of high quality, it varies
substantially across rural and urban areas. Private healthcare is more consistent in the Philippines;
private hospitals often have superior equipment than public ones. Because English is widely spoken
in the Philippines, foreigners should face few linguistic challenges in accessing treatment.

In this piece, we'll provide an overview of the Philippines' private and public healthcare systems, as
well as a summary of the greatest healthcare careers in the country.

Here are some notable distinctions between China's healthcare system and that of the United States:
95%+ of Chinese citizens have public health insurance, which is much greater than in the United
States. Even with public insurance, patients in China must pay some fees and copays.
