Đề: Some people feel that manufacturers and supermarkets have the

responsibility to reduce the amount of packaging of goods. Others argue that

customers should avoid buying goods with a lot of packaging. Discuss both
views and give your opinion.
—-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It is widely argued that producers and suppliers are responsible for reducing the
number of excessive product wrappers. However, others believe that it is the
responsibility of each individual. While the discussion exerts various points of
view, this essay will illustrate both standpoints and state my personal perspective.
On the one hand, manufacturers and supermarkets take a significant role in
controlling goods packaging. Firstly, they are directly responsible for selling
products, therefore, if they alter the process of packaging and reduce the number of
unnecessary wrappers, the customers only have one choice to buy these goods.
Before releasing products to customers, manufacturers have to package these
goods so that instead of using a lot of wrappers, they can reduce the number of
redundant packaging or replace them with disposable materials such as paper. And
if supermarkets only provide goods that have non-polluting packaging, public
awareness of consuming these products would be increased too.
On the other hand, individuals also have a responsibility in purchasing products.
First of all, if the consumers do not buy kinds of stuff that have unnecessary or
non-biodegradable packaging, it could be pressure on the producers and suppliers,
therefore, these operators have to alter their attitude toward this problem.
Manufacturers and supermarkets make profits from selling merchandise so if their
products do not adapt to the market demands, their goods would be replaced or
even deleted. In addition, if each person has proper awareness of using eco-
friendly products, this would affect the community positively. The general public
tends to be affected by each other so if there are a lot of people who refuse to use
goods that contain a number of excessive wrappers, other customers might not
want to consume them more.
In conclusion, while manufacturers and supermarkets are mainly responsible for
producing goods, however, in my point of view, each individual should have
proper awareness of consuming products, especially pieces of stuff which contain
a lot of redundant packaging.
