2. In this module, we learn about the necessary skills, strategies and

best practices for becoming an effective intercultural negotiator. After
watching the video, please respond to the following questions:

a. Describe the five stages of negotiation process, from the talk

between Michael Corleone (played by Al Pacino) and Senador Pat
Geary (played by G.D. Spradlin).

Planning: The person who arrived was the one who set what was to

be talked about on the table, which in this case shows up to
be around the licenses of a few inns that one is fascinated by obtaining.

Interpersonal relationship building: it is building a healthy relationship

with yourself, it involves things like being happy with yourself and such

Exchanging task related information: the person who is in scene is

willing to leave without any problem the purchase in exchange for a sum
of money.

Persuasion: they are not persuing, they are threatning

Agreement: they didnt agree on anything they just pulled each other
appart.
b. According to Alex Green, there are five fundamental skills you need
to learn to succeed in negotiation. For each negotiator, describe
what skills have or lack.

Vito Corleone:

Have. Adjust to unused forms, Tune in to your mediator, You'll still say no

Lack - Arrange vital issues independently, Break bread together

The Senator:

Have - Tune in to your mediator or interpreter, Adjust to modern forms

Lack - Arrange imperative issues independently, You'll be able still say no

What strategies should the Senator follow in order to achieve his goal?

He could have had more empathy in how he explained the situation, in

the way both discussed their issues and benefits
