Tourist places of San Juan de Lurigancho

San Juan de Lurigancho, is one of the districts with the


largest number of inhabitants in all of Peru. It is known for
its extensive and for the way in which the inhabitants have
managed to locate themselves in the territory. It is located
northeast of Metropolitan Lima. Its name, because it is
composed, comes from a double origin: San Juan de
comes from Santo San Juan Bautista, whose name was
used by the Spanish to name the indigenous reduction that
they created in the 1570.

Public places.

Cerro San Cristóbal Viewpoint: It has an incredible


view of the entire capital. It is known for being one of the
scenarios for staging the Via Crucis of 'Cristo Cholo'
during Holy Week. At the beginning of the pedestrian
path, there is a small chapel of Andean architecture, with
a clay tile roof, gabled, marking the beginning of a
pedestrian path, with steps of flagstone and cement, on
the right side of the chapel there is a cross white cement.

Huacas de Mangomarca: this is a cultural heritage of


Peru and a memory left by the ancient settlers of San
Juan de Lurigancho, it is located at block 20 of Santuario
avenue, it is stony and rocky, its main construction being

a stepped pyramidal structure. There are also large
retaining walls, along with a complex system of
enclosures and passageways, surrounded by a circular
adobe wall.
