Assistant Marketing Manager

The 1-800-Flowers.com Interactive marketing team serves as an internal digital agency


managing the online marketing initiatives for all of the company brands. The Assistant
Marketing Manager will be responsible for overall development and day-to-day
management of the 1-800-FLOWERS portal and shopping programs along with
working on assigned direct marketing efforts. Responsibilities include but not limited to
developing marketing programs to support the brands goals, conducting research,
financial modeling and strategic analysis for all programs, implementing and reviewing
a variety of acquisition programs via direct marketing and preparing revenue and
cost analysis reports. Candidates should have 3-5 years experience in
e-commerce marketing with retail/ecommerce experience. Seeking a
strategic thinker and self starter, with the know-how, experience, and
enthusiasm to hit the ground running and make a significant impact
to an existing multi-million dollar program.

Associate Web Producer

The Associate Web Producer supports the Web Marketing and Merchandising group at
1-800-FLOWERS.COM. The Associate Web Producer is responsible for maintaining the
customer experience across the 1-800-FLOWERS.COM web properties and supports the
group’s effort to improve usability and the overall customer experience. This individual
will be responsible for serving as both a Web Producer and a Web Developer for any
initiative as requested by a marketing group for pages on the 1800flowers.com and
related websites. The Associate Web Producer will also be responsible for serving as
both a Web Producer and a Web Developer for the initiative; from helping the business
owner define the requirements, to assisting with the creative brief process, to the actual
development and deployment of the page(s). The Producer will also support other key
web marketing tasks as needed, from Search Engine Optimization, prototyping new
concepts, to requirements analysis and QA testing. The ideal candidate for this position
will have 3-4 years experience working on web sites, personal or professional. Have
previously worked on a professional e-commerce site for a major recognizable brand.
Has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business (Information Systems) or
equivalent. Excellent oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to
work cross-functionally to get work completed. Excellent organizational skills and
detail-orientation. Ability to multitask, handle pressure and meet deadlines in a fast
paced entrepreneurial environment.

Senior Manager On –Line Merchandising

The Senior Manager for On-Line Merchandising leads website analytics and
merchandising optimization for the 1-800-FLOWERS.COM brand team. The Senior
Manager On-Line Merchandising will also drive high level project management for
several key strategic merchandising initiatives. Additionally, the Senior Manager will be
responsible for driving the optimization of revenue and margin on the site through
analytics. The candidate will need to develop strong and close cross-functional
relationships with the Merchandising, Planning, Operations and Marketing departments.
The Project Manager will serve to drive cross-functional teams on key strategic projects
and continuously testing new merchandising and marketing concepts to drive seasonal
and everyday occasion sales. Additionally, the Project Manager will be responsible for
driving strategic insights from metrics and translating them into product, technology,
merchandising and user experience improvements. The ideal candidate will have solid
experience in online marketing and advertising, a demonstrated ability to drive projects
from inception, and a strong bias for action. In addition to other relevant experience, the
right person will have 2-5 years of program management experience, be highly analytical,
have strong written and verbal communication skills, be detail-oriented and hands-on,
and be calm in the face of fast-moving environments. Experience with a web analytics
tools such as CoreMetrics, Omniture, Web Trends, is a plus. Bachelor’s degree required.
Masters degree strongly preferred.

Associate Manager Merchandising Operations

The Associate Manager for Merchandising Operations supports Merchandising


Operations to achieve sales and conversion objectives. This individual needs to be
extremely detailed oriented and able to handle multiple tasks to ultimately support the
creation of a “great” user experience. Additionally, this individual will ensure that web
and Atlas merchandising are consistent and accurate to ensure a great customer
experience. On a daily basis, this individual will be responsible for daily programming,
quality assurance, analysis/reporting, and department support. The basic responsibilities
will include but not limited to conducting competitive analysis on products/promotions
and user-flow/enhancements, re-merchandising product collections with merchandising
input on a monthly basis and updating product collections as needed based on requests
from Channel Managers. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written
communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally to get work
completed. The ability to multitask, handle pressure and meet deadlines in a fast paced
entrepreneurial environment. Have a firm understanding of marketing and industry
trends. Strong analytical skills. Knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel and experience in
content and campaign systems. College degree.

Senior Planning Manager

The Senior Planning Manager for Floral is responsible for item planning, purchasing,
inventory management and control, and merchandise analysis for assigned product
categories. The Senior Planning Manager also coordinates interfaces among associated
planning staff, merchandising, marketing, and merchandise operations and supervises
merchandise replenishment activities. The ideal candidate for this position will have a
degree in business, merchandising, or related field desired. More than 5 years’
experience in merchandise planning or finance/accounting required. A strong analytical
and planning ability and attention to detail. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and
experience using high-end planning and operating systems. Ability to thrive in a dynamic
and changing environment. Superior leadership and management skills.

Planner
The Planner for Non-floral Direct Merchandise is responsible for item planning,
purchasing, inventory management and control, and merchandise analysis for assigned
product categories. The ideal candidate for this position will have a degree in business,
merchandising, or related field. At least two years experience in merchandise planning. A
strong analytical and planning ability and attention to detail. Advanced Microsoft Excel
skills and experience using high-end planning and operating systems. Ability to thrive in
a dynamic and changing environment.

Associate Planner

The Associate Planner for Non-Floral is responsible for inventory data maintenance,
requisitions, and planning reports for assigned product categories. The ideal candidate
for this position will have a degree in business, merchandising, or related field. Up to 2
year’s experience in a retail organization and a strong desire to excel and move upward
in the organization.

Product Manager

The Product Manager for plants will re responsible for developing and managing high
appeal, differentiated, notable products specifically in our plant and designer floral
categories, focusing on signature products that support the 1800flowers.com brand
strategy as well as working to drive the product development process end to end focusing
on revenue, achieving gross margin, EBITDA targets and the maximization of profit and
revenue return through website merchandising. The responsibilities include but not
limited to maximizing key collections to feature best sellers to drive revenue and gross
margin dollars, working closely with vendor relations to develop supplier base and
developing and implementing the launch plans for new items. The ideal candidate will
have at least 8 years of demonstrated product development, buying, product management
and brand building success. A bachelor’s degree in horticulture or equivalent in related
experience. Excellent knowledge of fresh flower varieties and flower design. The ability
to develop plans, capture data, analyze data, summarize findings and implement
initiatives and a proven track record in maximizing revenue, gross margin and EBITDA.

Senior Product Manager

The Senior Product Manager for Non-Floral will focus on developing products that will
support strategies that maximize the business from a revenue and margin perspective and
meets company goal. Responsibilities include but are not limited to conceptualizing
product development initiatives in the non-floral area, working with business managers to
develop departmental and category strategies in support of the corporate/executive sales
plan and gross margin objectives and developing and implementing strategic
merchandising plans that encompass item, vendor, category and gross margin
development. The ideal candidate will have more than 5 years buying/merchandise
experience. Experience in the food/gift basket industry. An understanding of the gift
basket and food industry as it relates to merchandising. Strong financial, analytical, and
negotiation skills.
