RCS = Rich Communication Service Message
Assumptions
• Customer has a business/enterprise account and a FAN associated with their account.
• Customer has activated SMS and MMS features on employee devices
• Customer has accepted AT&T’s Terms and Conditions for access to archived messages
Steps/Flow
1. Customer sends TeleMessage:
a. The authorized account contact and their contact details, the full company name used with
AT&T for billing including the BAN and FAN.
b. The contact details for your AT&T account manager. TeleMessage must send all network
archive activations through your account manager.
c. As well as agreeing to the AT&T Terms and Conditions.
d. A spreadsheet containing a list of all the MDNs, names, and email addresses of employees
these devices are assigned to.
e. Archiving destination: Destination address to your Archiving platform e.g. Global Relay,
Jatheon, Bloomberg, Zix, Intradyn, etc. This may also be provided by your TeleMessage or
Archive Vendor account rep.
2. TeleMessage submits a request to AT&T Archiving Platform to onboard the listed devices on the
Customer’s behalf.
3. TeleMessage will create and configure archiving accounts for each of the listed users and
configure the account to deposit messages in the desired archive.
4. It can take up to 5 business days for AT&T and TeleMessage to complete the necessary
configuration.
5. Once onboarding has been completed the account primary contact will receive a welcome
message and a list of all the users on their account and the date registered.
Important Facts
• AT&T sends TeleMessage all archived messages from the registered device in real time.
• Messages can be forwarded to your archive immediately or as threaded (conversation)
messages once a day.
• The Service does not work with over the top messaging applications or services. Messages to be
captured must go through AT&T’s network.
