SECTION 1
The iPhone 6s Plus was released in 24 th September 2015 with weight 192g and 7.3mm
thickness. The iPhone 6s Plus has another following specification:
List all the applications you have on your mobile phone. Build a table to list the applications.
SECTION 3
A. Discuss all the identity verification (authentication) features available on your
phone.
The iPhone 6s Plus has several identity verification (authentication) features that can be used
by application providers to increase the level of security for their apps. These features
include:
- Touch ID: The iPhone 6s Plus has a fingerprint scanner called Touch ID that can be
used to authenticate users. Users can register their fingerprint in the iPhone's settings
and then use it to unlock their phone and authenticate for certain apps.
- Passcode: The iPhone 6s Plus also allows users to set a passcode to unlock their
phone and authenticate for certain apps. The passcode can be a combination of
numbers, letters, and symbols.
- Two-factor authentication: The iPhone 6s Plus also supports two-factor
authentication, which requires users to enter a verification code sent to a trusted
device or phone number in addition to their password or biometric authentication
method.
B. Discuss how these features combined and used by the application provider on your
phone can increase the level of security of each application you use?
Combining these identity verification features can increase the level of security for each
application used on the iPhone 6s Plus. For example, an application provider can require
users to authenticate with Touch ID before accessing sensitive information or performing
critical actions within the app. Additionally, the provider can require users to set a passcode
and enable two-factor authentication for added security.
