EXERCISE 2: DOCUMENTARY ANALYSIS

Eudaimonia, which has a psychological and philosophical definition of "well-being," is impacted by an

excess of sugar-based goods since happiness is closely correlated with ambitions for the highest
attainable outcomes. Although obesity affects more people overall in prosperous economies, it is
strongly related to sugar-based products and is a major issue in both wealthy and underdeveloped
nations. We are prevented from obtaining eudaimonia by the overproduction of sugar-based products
because we do not consider the negative effects of consuming too much sugar.

Sugar consumption that is excessive leads to chemical abnormalities in the brain. These imbalances can
cause depression, and, in some people, they may even raise their long-term risk of developing a mental
health issue. Reducing sugar intake lowers specifically the risk of developing overweight and obesity, and
in turn in developing diabetes. It also has a significant effect on lowering dental caries. The evidence for
the health benefits of population-wide reduction in sugar intake is strong.
