Global Grease Cutter is an extra heavy duty degreaser specially formulated to replace
conventional solvent-based cleaners in a wide range of degreasing operations.

Features:

Quick Break
Global Grease Cutter is a Non Phosphorous quick break cleaning agent which is used to remove
hydrocarbons such as grease, oil and diesel from a variety of surfaces. When the quick break
comes into contact with the soiled grease it wets (penetrates) the soil and converts greases to
soap. This process is known as saponification.

Global Grease Cutter also emulsifies the grease by breaking it into small droplets. The droplets
become microscopic once contact is made with water which is used to wash the grease and
degreaser from the surface.

Within a few minutes of the oil contacting water the breaking process commences. The bond
between the quick break and the oil weakens with the oil finally breaking away and rising to the
surface of the water. 94% of the breaking process occurs within 10 minutes.
IMPORTANCE OF Global Grease Cutter QUICK BREAK TO THE ENVIRONMENT

All grease/water effluent from engine degreasing and all other cleaning operations should be collected in a pit
prior to treatment through a mechanical separator or triple interceptor and discharge to sewer or lagoon.

If Global Grease Cutter is used, grease, oil and fuel removed during degreasing will be released to float on top
of the collection pit water or in the separator and is available for collection.

If a NON quick break is used, oil removed during degreasing will remain emulsified and bound up within the
rinse water. Non quick break degreasers hold the oil so well in solution that it is impossible to remove the oil
from the collected water even after long settling times and processing through deoiling hydrocyclones or plate
separators. When the water is discharged to sewer or lagoon the oil is also discharged. Under these
circumstances the oil discharge level may breach EPA requirements.

BIODEGRADABLE
Laboratory and field tests show Global Grease Cutter totally biodegrades within a maximum of 22 days.

Primary biodegradation occurs within 5 days. That is, the product loses it’s properties but it’s molecular
components are not completely degraded

Biodegradation is the process whereby organic materials decompose in the environment.

For biodegradation to occur there needs to be a combination of bacterial activity, water and oxygen.

The bacterial activity breaks the bond between the hydrogen and carbon molecules with water (H2O) and
carbon dioxide (CO2) being produced. The process is repeated over and over until all the bonds have been
broken and the molecules are converted to CO2 and H2O.

There is no long term cumulative buildup on land or water as a result of Global Grease Cutter entering the
environment in washdown water or from spilt liquid.

Product characteristics:
Viscose blue liquid based on a blend of anionic surfactants, sequencing agents, corrosion inhibitors and foam
stabilisers. Contains no hydrocarbon-based solvents.

Directions for use:

Use undiluted to remove heavy buildup of grease and oil. May be diluted for less heavily soiled surfaces up to
a concentration of 5%-10% .

Spray onto surface to be cleaned. Allow 5-15 minutes for penetration of the soils. Wash off with high pressure
rinse. Degreasing operations include exterior and interior (motors) of locomotives, heavy vehicles and earth
moving equipment. Will remove a wide variety of soils including coal dust contaminated with oil, grease and
fuel.

Do not allow to dry on glass surfaces

Handling precautions:
Always use safety goggles and protective clothing when using or handling the product. Flush splashes to eyes
immediately with large quantity of water, ensuring the eyeball is thoroughly bathed. Continue to flush until
irritation subsides. If ingested do not induce vomiting - drink large quantity of milk or water.
