Torque Recommendations
Periodically check the torque on each bolt for MT holders. The cassette will compress initially
upon installation. Increasing the temperature of the feed solution will cause expansion of the
cassettes, causing the clamping force to increase. Reduce torque accordingly if the system is to
contain heated solution.

Recommended Cross Flow Flux (CFF) rates for Pall Membrane Cassettes
Table 7 below lists the recommended CFF rates for operating Pall Membrane Cassettes.
CFF = retentate flow rate (L/min) / membrane area (m² or ft²)
Table 8 gives the operating limits for pressure, temperature and pH. Exceeding any of these limits
may cause permanent damage to the cassette and pose a safety hazard for the operator.
