Tell a story from two points of view
Preparation
‘la Look at the pictures. They show an incident that
happened to Bill and Frank after they had been to a
party. Match the words in the box to the pictures.

b Work in groups. Can you guess what happened
to Bill and his friend? is there anything you don't
understand from the pictures?
2 Workin groups.
Group A:4? 3.4 Listen to what Bill told his lawyer
after the incident.
Group 8:40! 3.5 Listen to what the old lady told the
police. Listen as many times as necessary to be sure
of the details. Make notes if necessary.
Task
1 Practise re-telling the story with students from the
‘same group.

from Group B. Take turns to report what Bll and the
old lady said.
b Make alist of differences between the two stories
and any information that one person mentioned, but
the other didn't. Compare your list with the class.
