The School Wobblies

Have you ever heard of the School Wobblies? Have

you ever had them? They don’t wobble
the school, they wobble you. They
wobble your insides and
make your head
ache and it
can be very
hard to go
to school
if they’re
around.

Most children have

worries about school some time or another.
When children first go to school they are often upset.
Their parents are often
upset as well on the
first few days of
school.

This is all pretty

normal when kids
are little.

It can start by you
feeling bad and
not wanting to get
out of bed when
you should.

The School Wobblies

make you feel bad in
the mornings before
school. For some reason
they want you to stay at
home with them.

They work hard to

stop you from going to
school but they only
work during the week.
Weekends and holidays
they have off.

First you need a plan for going back to school.

You need
to make
sure that
you get
up, no matter
how bad you feel,
and get dressed and ready as
quickly as possible.

School Wobblies like it when you sit around or dawdle so

they have plenty of time to scare you. If you get ready
quickly and are busy they don’t have a chance.

You should do as much as possible for yourself because,

if your parents help you and they worry about you, the
Wobblies get stronger.

Some kids say, “I will go

to school right away because I
can go so fast I can beat the School
Wobblies and they can’t catch me.”
